Just got back from a weekend in Portugal where the peg now lives. I took a few photo's and a lot of video so some of this may cheer you up 'cos it's friggin freezing back here in the UK.

Marco came out with me one day to explore some trails

One day I did some riding towards a mountainous forest area and came acros this nice little waterfall

    Another shot of the waterfall

    I climbed up this tower

    And could see the peg!

And a lot of forest as well

Quite a few photo's from this area because the scenery was stunning, hope you don't mind!

I think I am at the top here.

On another section - I had to stop and take some photo's of the sun through the trees.

Nice, show us more. Those mountain photos with the wind turbines looks just like I'm riding here in West Virginia.

Phil, it's near Santa Comba Dao

Location in Portugal - where the A is, it's mostly euculyptas and pine forests, really nice and the smell from the euculyptas is great.

The first couple of days riding was near here (Santa Comba Dao)

Spent one day here in the forest/mountains where the wind turbines are

THis is the forest area 15min ride to the north of where my dad lives, amazing area and some tough climbs, unfortunately my shock was blown at the top of this climb, at the end of the video I'm looking at the oil on the floor and trying to work out where it's coming from.

Finally got a shock sorted for the one I blew - so that only took about 4 months. Now it's too hot to ride there but I'll be back in Autumn.
