I took my 2001 LC4 640 Enduro out for a ride today. The second owner put 11 miles on it in the last year (According to the title). He did it circling the block, he was afraid of the bike. I had a blast on the thing doubling his milage in the last year in one day with traffic. I also just ordered HT Teton 9" panniers for it's commuting and touring duties. I will keep you posted on it's current updates.

I just had my 40th the day before I bought the bike, so am I considered the "Next Generation"?

Good question. I honestly don't know.

He was a pretty sharp guy. I hope he's doing well!

I read he got a different bike and moved on, in a thread here in thumpers somewhere? I learned a chit load from the guy, and a few others that I am to lazy to mention.

Welcome to the nuthouse Bailey from a fellow enduro owner, just back from a 3500 mile tour of England/France and Spain on the 640 (had to miss Morrocco as the other RELIABLE bikes weren't that reliable:rofl) as someone who had some early trouble with mine all I can say is just ask here and all will be well. I will try and do a ride report in the next few days as the mods I did to the Enduro for long distance traveling performed fantasticly, before I do though a huge thanks to Bill and Clint and all the rest of the inmates for some cracking advice(sorry if I cant remember all the names guys i'm only back 36 hours).
