Do a search because this was covered a while back, and I seem to remember something about fitment issues, although KTM Twins is pretty reliable about selling parts that fit.

Sorry I can't be more help than that.

Cant comment of the KTM version, but I have them on my Husky and they are a top of the line product. The silicone is very thick and something like 4-5 ply.

Here is a cross section of the hose on my Husky:

If you order them make sure to get the clap kit. It's high quality and has rolled edges so it does not cut into the silicone:

Put a set on two different bikes so far. In both cases the fit was perfect and never had a problem with either of the bikes after the install.

Best bang for buck mod if you have to replace any of the existing hoses. Do it once and never look back.

You can also get the good hose clamps from any BMW dealer, they are made in germany. The rolled edges are the key to them not tearing into the hose.

All, I've read about these hoses and have considered installing on my 950SE. However, I don't know if there is a kit that fits this bike. I emailed Samco and got a canned response back suggesting their website would be the place to check. Did so and still come up wondering...:dunno

After reading this thread and another here I'm not sure if the 950SE has hoses available from Samco...

    Thoughts?

The SE has a lot of similarities to the SM, including the same rad etc. Probably worth a go as the hose kit isn't that expensive.

I have a kit in the garage waiting to go on next coolant change. I could take a picture of the hoses laid out if it helps?

Just remembered about the pics so popped back out to the garage. Sorry of they're a bit shiny, just painted the floor and the lights are crap!
Should at least be able to compare them to the KTM parts catalogue.

The clamps in the photo are not the correct clamps for silicone hose , the correct clamps have a protective inner band so the groves dont cut into the hose . I replaced all the small straight hose on my 950 for about 10 bucks worth of material , I used factory hose for the formed hose from the radiator to the motor . SEYA

What you see above is what I was supplied with by racebikebitz at the NEC show in Birmingham last November.

I see what you mean about the inside face not being smooth but they do have rolled edges. I'll look out for some as you describe but otherwise, I'll take my chances with these.

for completeness, as i've posted several times before, the Samco kit KTM-12 does not fit the Adventure 9x0 models (instead, use KTM-13 kit).

has anyone actually installed kit KTM-12 on their bike, any bike?

That is correct the KTM-12 does not fit any year adventure. The KTM-12 Kit fits the 950 Supermoto and the 950 Super Enduro. The KTM-13 kit fits all years of the 950/990 Adventure as well as the 2005-2008 990 Super Duke. There are clear application listings on both of these links.

Unfortunately the hose kits do not come from Samco with high quality hose clamps. We are currently working on sourcing these out for you guys. We don't just want standard hose clamps because there are a lot out there that are not worth putting on your bike. We are looking for ones with rolled edges so there are no cutting into the hoses when torqued down. All we can say at this moment is we are working on it. In the meantime we are utilizing the stock clamps that come on the bike.
