Gps map 76 cs

    I'm gps illiterate , worth getting ? I want something simple to use . Want to load tracks maps etc , save tracks . I've never used a gps

    If it's the cX version, it's good.

    Here's what the letters mean -

    C - color
    X - eXpandable
    S - Sensors (compass while stationary, barometer)

    You really want the x version - not only is it expandable, but I think it has an updated GPS receiver chip.

    So the 76cs - probably not (too limited on memory), 76cx - go for it! (I've got 2!)

    We all loved the 76C for years and had no complaints but the 76Cx is a little better but not much. The "s" is not worth any thing to me. The "x" does work better under trees and poor sky view and saves back up tracks which the 78 does not even do. If you can get a 76C for under $100 or better $75 you will be happy.
