Treadless stepped up for me. I'm still in remission so it's time to step up! So I bring you... The Eighth Annual Western Adventure Rider Party and Endurance Drinking Event is ON!! April 13 through 15, 2012 Once again Mountain & River Adventures is hosting this event. 15775 Sierra Way Kernville, CA 93238 They are located just outside Kernville, north along Sierra Way: MRA's web site is here: http://www.mtnriver.com/ This year we have again reserved the entire upper campground for Friday and Saturday nights. There are also sites reserved for Thursday night. Last year was a great time!!! Here's the thread and some pictures (you have to wade through the babble to get to them ) WarpedVII Saturday night the WARPED reserved area is closed to all non participating people. There is no flexibility on this subject. Friends are welcome to stop by during the day say Hi or to connect with participants for a ride. Since we have a bunch of math impaired folks: Saturday night and the meal = $45 Friday, Saturday nights and the meal = $65 Thursday, Friday, Saturday nights and the meal = $85 Shirts (design to be determined) SS Shirts thru XL = $17.00 and $19.00 for XXL or XXXL Long Sleve thru XL = $20 and $22 for the XXL or XXXL Please! No payments as a "Gift" via PayPal. It's fraud to do so. Tent spots are mostly first come first served. Those with RV's, toy haulers, etc. let us know what you are bringing so we can coordinate spots for ease of entrance and exit. I was told they have been working on making more spaces RV friendly. I'll have to go check it out. (oh the horror, more RV room) RV Note: Last year was a real pain in the butt for RVs. Although we can accomodate RVs there are a VERY FEW LIMITED places we can put them, 4 sites tops. If you've been there you know what I mean. Because of the limited availability they will be on a first come first parked basis. Any trailer over 25' is almost impossible to park!!!!! If you think you can get into a space and it's full of tents it'll be up to you to ask them to move (good luck with that). If you're RVing you pays your money and takes your chances. Usually by Friday at noon they are taken. Plan accordingly by asking your scout to stake a claim if you're going to be late. Remember, YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN for finding a place if the prime spots are taken. There must be a limit of 4 RV Trailers and the first to show up and take the spots get them. It would be helpful if you were to pay for camping-meals-shirts all at once. Payment We will collect the money in one of two ways. If you use Pay Pal, please remember that they take a few dollars (3%) for processing. I would appreciate it if you could please add a couple of dollars to cover that cost. IMPORTANT!!! Please identify your payment with (1) your AdvRider handle, (2) your legal name, (3) which nights you will be camping, (4) whether you want the Saturday dinner (you do), (5) what size t-shirt(s) you want and (6) whether you want long or short sleeve t-shirt(s). This will help me with the making of the name tags. If both names are not included it is a good chance that we will make one up for you and we will not be nice. Saturday dinner will be served at 6:30pm(ish) (Likely) Menu for Saturday night: Chips and cut vegetables Tri-tip / Chicken Salad Beans Bread Dessert Lemonade, water and coffee For the Vegetarians in the group a non-meat meal is also available. As for your breakfast or lunch and Friday night needs there are local restaurants within a few miles. The Kern River Brewery is across the street from the James Market and serves some pretty good food. We will have use of the dinning area until 10pm Sat night. After the feeding frenzy, there will be a Schwag Raffle and <o></o> SCHWAG We are hoping to get some good schwag again for this year's raffle. Last years raffle was great and wed like this years to be even better!! We'd prefer stuff that is not bike-specific. Gift certificates, clothing, etc. are all good.
