Helmet City is who I deal with. They are easy to deal with, knowledgeable and ship quickly. They're out of stock right now on the XD but they should be getting some in any day. They promised me an email as soon as they're available.
I forgot to mention price. I think they quoted me something around $472 to my door. If you're not in California it would be even less.

Try Santaclaracycle.com it's a local brick and mortar store for me with great prices on Arai's. I think the price I saw was $365 for the XD.

There is an Arai XD storm silver listed on the flea market size large for a great price (315.00) with a set of Scotts. I just payed $500.00 plus tax for the very same helmet. The new 06's are solid color only.
    Good luck

How are you guys handling sizing on mail order helmets? I'd like to buy an XD, but can't find one locally to try on.

I always wear a large helmet and the XD large was really tight in the forehead and cheek area. When I called Helmet City and talked to their Arai specialist he recommended an XL. I guess my point is that if you don't have Arai experience you better track one down to try on unless you want to play musical packages.

Their specialist should have known that when Arai's break in they are one size larger. When they are new they should be very tight. That large would fit you just fine after 500 miles or so. The good news is that you should be able to fix your XL (which will soon be too big) by changing the cheek pads to thicker ones.

Any idea where you can get the cheek pads? I bought an XL and would like to change them out.

A fellow is selling these on ebay...his handle is Surfsuphigh. I bid on one Friday the 14th,,Delivered today, Thursday the 20th!!!:clap The newest model, the TX-Motard in Japan. These come out of Japan, express mail...$399 delivered for the basic paint...little more for the higher end paint jobs.

I have an easy to fit head and used his sizing chart...perfect.

Email him @ motorfreeway@yahoo.ca his name is Rob. or look him up on ebay using Arai XD as a search. There is another guy doing the same, he has an ebay store j-jelmet. Not as much feedback as Rob.:deal

I understand that Arai is going to start selling by mail order anyday... In the mean time, I cant recommend this guy high enuff...he has great communication and has the product. 4 business days from JAPAN!!! He is in Canada himself.

These are japanese models, no us warranty...manuals in Japanese. If you know Arai, you would never need the warranty anyway...and I know how to wear a helmet, so... How can you go wrong? I couldnt be more pleased and I am about $100-150 ahead.:D
