    Hello everyone -
My bf's 2010 white F800GS was stolen out of our condo parking garage in Alexandria this weekend. We thought it was a safe area - sucks!

If anyone may have seen it, please let me know. It has - I believe - SW-Motech side racks and Alt Rider crash bars, a headlight guard, and a tool tube attached to the right side rack. It also has a scrape on the left side of the tank. Some pics are below in case they help (ignore the shots of my bike). And if anyone has any tips for dealing with this sort of thing, I'd be happy to hear them. Thank you.

Do you know which day and approximate time of the theft? Alexandria is pretty good sized place, cross roads or approximate location could be helpful?

I saw a bike just like that parked Sunday am, around 8:30, in the 1600 block (or so) on King Street. Parked facing east on the westbound side of the street. Stood out because it just didn't belong. . .. :ear

I am the BF with the stolen bike - thank you for this information.

The bike was stolen from the old town area.

I'll walk by King St this morning to see if it is still there. We believe it was stolen Sunday the 13th in the very early AM. My tank bag was removed and left behind, which makes me think they attempted to replace the ECU or something to hotwire or bypass the normal security measures. Perhaps they didn't get far?

I assumed that it was already parted out and distributed by now... I will be submitting a police report shortly and will try to determine if f800's are being targeted in the region.

Funny you just posted - I was just going to ask about the immobiliser. I figure a typical mope just tries to hotwire it. So maybe it was pushed somewhere said mope thought they could work on it longer. Other than that, it seems like a bike that size would need to be towed. Hopefully a quick stroll around the area will locate it.

Also, does your condo garage have security cameras at the entrance?

Good luck and I'll keep my eyes open for it.

I have found the motorcycle; it has been impounded by Alexandria police. Thanks to NoVa Rider for sending me down that path.

Here's hoping that during their joyride they didn't have too much fun destroying the bike ....

So...looking for an update. Bike back in rightful owners possession? What and how bad was the damage done? Is it rideable as is? Pictures are always appreciated. :D
