I had a few members point me in the direction of the Vendors forum but I never followed through... finally

Interested. I bought a pair of Nexo Cobra Roo gloves for next season's racing, and they are alreay falling apart after just a few street rides. And now I am reading about a few riders haveing low MPH street crashes and the seams come apart.
At 150 mph, I want good gloves.

Obviously, I'm going to be biased here...

I know that as with everything, research is #1

We'll post back when Motorcyclist gets their review up, a long time in coming..... actually, had no idea that magazine was a 4 man operation.. crazy...

Your gloves look amazing. I might get in on a pair, but I was wondering if you had any CE spec gloves in the pipeline with more subtle looks? They all have a very distinctive "boy racer" look. Just curious.

The exhibition Pro look to be the closest to a warm weather glove. True? Are these built to the same spec as the CE rated glove? Would these be included in the group buy?

On another note, I own and love the Halvarssons safety jacket.

Considering your interest in CE spec gloves, I'm sure you've heard of the suit? It'd be great to find someone to convince jofama to bring it to the US. Maybe, someone like yourself? Apparently, they have no plans to bring the safety suit stateside..

Our Prodigy glove is meant to be our "everyday" riders glove. It can be altered to make it look less racey, although the perforations are meant to help with visibility as the holes reflect light.

Exhibition pro- Yes, a warm weather glove.

At this point, all of our gloves share the same construction methods and materials, except for one... Kangaroo leather. Our "premier" models were built and tested using kangaroo to ensure passage of the testing requirements. In all but seam testing, we had absolutely no trouble in passing the standards. Our bet is that our standard leather gloves built using our CE design will have no trouble passing the main testing standards within EN13594.
Something we hope to find out sometime this year...

We currently have an "open challenge" to any other manufacturer on planet earth to see who makes the strongest glove. I'd be willing to offer any of our gloves for the comparison, if it ever happens...

Anything on our menu is open for the group buy. Unfortunately, we need at least 10 people for the Exhibition Pro's. Anything built with Kangaroo would require a minimum of 15 pairs of the same style/color.

30% discount if we can reach those numbers. 35% + if we can double them

Not a bad idea, unfortunately we're not highly known in the Motorcycling world and promotion is definitely not our strong point

How do we know how the numbers are progressing? I am definitely in for a pair of the prodigys, preferably also with a less racy style. And maybe a pair of exhibition pro.

Hello again, It's really up to the members to make it happen. Out of all of the forums we visit, ADVRider has the most informed riders in regard to personal protection.... these gloves are the real deal!

As for the numbers, anyone that is "in" should post here, that way we'll all have a running total..

I'm pretty sure I'm in for a pair of Exhibition Pro's. However, it's unclear to me whether these pass the CE test? I know you say it's built to the standards, or something along those lines, but do they pass?

The only difference between the Exhibition Pro's and the Formula/Prodigy is the use of Kangaroo Leather on the palm side of the hand. We only tested the Kangaroo leather chassis because another failure or additional testing was not an option.

Now I'll post some numbers that have never been posted before:

this is for the Kangaroo leather chassis

4.9. Tear Strength- passing = 40N

---VelocityGear gloves- 165.75N

4.10. Seam Strength- passing 15N/mm

---VelocityGear gloves- 21.4n/mm

4.11. Cut Resistance- 2.2 on the cutting index

---VelocityGear gloves- 21.2

4.12. Abrasion Resistance- 2.5seconds

---VelocityGear gloves- 7.96s

All numbers are "mean" adjusted.

So, in my opinion a full cowhide leather would also pass the testing requirements considering how well our gloves performed.
Now, the full leather chassis hasn't been tested so my guess is just that. Having "solved" the CE puzzle myself I'm pretty confident to say they'd pass.

Otherwise, the Kangaroo hide is a sure bet...
