    THIS is the thread.

Only thing missing in the pics is the red 26" Texport waterproof bag that sits in the passenger place. We will put those on Sunday evening!

Pics are of a test run up our local mountains. Front end is a tad wavy with all the gear, a bit wallowy going around fast bends, we shall have to slow down. Just as well really.

I really like the 16/42 on the long stretches, but it will be a tad too high a gearing down south so I'm taking 15 and 14, + the spare rear I am taking 43 to try out.

I added pieces of plastic trash can to our windshields and it all works very well indeed.

We will camp for sure. I'm not familiar with the Tent Space over the border. We want to enter Mexico mainland at Yuma on our first day.

Dr. White, Colleens dash board. Two outlets. One cig, one USB. Also Kenwood FRS radio for bike to bike. I customized a Autocom lead to be much shorter and simpler. Just an interface lead from radio to PTT to head set, just a few inches of wire from the radio, then a longer lead for helmet connection. Nothing under the seat or hidden, all easy to see and maintain.

Dr. Black, James's dashboard. hard wired GPS, cig outlet, USB outlet, idiot lights, MASSIVE turn signal light ( I keep forgetting to turn them off). Headlight OFF switch, charging ports OFF switch.

Check the front sprocket without removing the cover. I cut it out with a jig saw, it's just a plastic cover.

Dr. White, Colleen's bike. Home made head light grill from paint brush holder and front mudguard stabilizer from Pro-Cycle I think.

Also windshield is a mix of two I put together.

Leaving on Monday 11th November 2013 and allowing six months of travel and a certain amount of money.

Once the time is half way through..or the money is half way through....we had better think about turning around and coming home!
