I love the Fall riding season. Especially here in New England. But I do always look forward to winter trail riding. So, lets see some pics *with SNOW!*
In January-here's as close as we get to riding in the snow out here. Off topic, how do you like that snorkel, and how much does it quiet down the already quiet KDX?
No fancy background...but for an area that doesn't usually get more than an inch of snow, when we got over 2 feet, I just had to go out and ride..
this one did make the front page. gotta luv June in Wyoming.... here's another of me riding the fuck out of wyoming and towards the tucson dez.... cant say's i miss that white shit..... laramie
What do all of you guys run for studs, spikes, or chains? There is one bike here already that appears to have chains on the rear wheel... I run a home made "tapcon" rear tire, and 3/8" or 1/2" long sheet metal screws in the front:
No, snow that hard packed is not “normal” but still this usually happens a few times each winter. One just has to keep an eye out, not to miss it. And yes, you nailed it, the snow must melt/soften and then freeze again. Usually the best snow riding is in the springtime. Nice bike. The white plastics look good. I still miss my WR250, it was a great bike.
g600, Thanks for liking the white plastics. Just got used to them from the 80's. Anyway, thats a 360 motor hiding under that white stuff. Long live the king.
