Moto Guzzi Stelvio (merged) threadfest...

Has anyone seen the spy shots of the new Guzzi dual-sport or any other info?

Stelvio 1200

From one source:

"From the Italian Alps we have heard that a new Moto Guzzi has emerged. According to one of our sources it has been named after Italy's highest mountain pass, the Stelvio. It is believed the bike will be called Moto Guzzi Stelvio 1200 with the same engine as the new tourer Norge 1200. As the name suggests Moto Guzzi is going after the profitable Adventure bike segment to compete against BMW R1200 GS, KTM Adventure 990 and Buell XB12X Ulysses"

Another Photo-chop of a Breva 1100 with some Aprilia bits:

From Aprilia it is expected (apart from what we have reported on earlier) that the Caponord will become more hard-core from 2007 to stand up to the Adventure competition. We think a new Tuono 125 with the features from the new RS125 is on the cards too. Our conclusions from all this is that Adventure tourers is not just a segment in the market anymore.
all I seen so far:evil

Dagwood,

From the looks of your avitar, I am surprised you saw anything at all :lol3

A new Guzzi in the mix would be great!

Having ridden Moto Guzzi for years, I would be surprised if they would be able to compete with KTM 950 or even R1200GS. Those bikes are HEAVY!!

Shamelessly plagiarized from Raptors and Rockets, usually a pretty good source.

Nice picture of the road. Now how about a picture of the bike!

I liked the Quota, almost bought one. I think it just needed better wheels and rear end.

Maybe you didn't notice - the road is paved. I don't call that a good sign for an adventure bike. I could take a scooter up that road.

Let's see this new Guzzi on some rough rocky track in N Africa.
