An X-Challenge, Husky and 640 go to Tahoe

Unlike many of you, I'm not much of a writer. In fact, I'm not much of a talker either. I'm a fairly quiet person who has enjoyed a couple of years of great trip reports and simply wants to add my small piece.

The premise behind the trip was to invite my buddies to our cabin for a weekend of riding our bikes in something other than an OHV park, like in San Jose.

Adam is on the Husky, Justin is on the 640.

We arrived in Tahoe at about 10pm and unloaded the bikes.

about 3 mies from the house we hit dirt and a small lake. We literally don't know where to go...We've never seen such open spaces that you can ride through. It's just a free-for-all...

I try to show the boys an old settlement (which we never even took a picture of), but all Adam does is complain that we're taking "gravel highways" and he wants to hit technical trails...

Husky biatch decides that he is gonna lead us...even though he's never been here before or has any clue where he's going...and guess what...he manages to find a tough single track that eventually disappears.

The terrain changed through out the day. From hard packed dirt, to gravel to rocky sections, all the way to soft sandy sections near the lakes.
