F8GS first time front tire change- how to chock?

Front Battlewings are dead at 12,000 miles.

New Tourance is standing by.

My reading and searching tells me I need to chock the front end because the bike is weighted too heavy to the front to balance on the centerstand. But none of the posts I've found are very clear on the how part of keeping the front off the ground.

My question: who has done it without the fancy axle stand and what did you do to keep the bike up?

Feel free to point me to an appropriate posting, if I've missed it.

Kick the small blocks out and let it rest on the notched 2x4. The other sticks break down ( use bolts to join them together ) they go in my Jessies. In an emergency you can use them for fire wood.

Penny tech and works well.

KKUG, perfect. I must confess, I just had surgery so my mind is a bit fogged and easily fatigued. For that reason, I think, I was having trouble conceptualizing the blocking and bracing plan. I appreciate the photo.

I think this will work much better than, say, a helmet...

I'm going to wait until my system is well rested and slap on some new rubber.
