F650GS (twin) running rough in neutral

I've managed to make myself feel much better about selling my DL650 by buying a used F650GS twin. I'm incredible impressed with the bike and love almost everything about it. But I have noticed that it runs a little rough when idling in neutral. Is this normal for a parallel twin, or do I need to bring it up at my next service appointment?

Thanks,
Christian

Not mine

Congratulations on you F650 GS Twin! :thumb
Min '08 model does not run rough when idling in neutral. Sure, before it is varmed up (like to first 5 min.) it is a bit more rough but nothing noticable. If it bothers us I would bring it up at the next service (or perhaps before).

A second thought

After having ridden in a couple of days in rather cold weather (around 9-12 celsius) I have been taking special note if my F650 GS was vibrating when idle. It does a little. Depending on the temperature and how warm the engine is, but it does vibrate a bit (the 2-cyl engine is probably the reason I guess) but it does not bather me at all. Actually I hardly can feel it in the handles but only at my legs, that the machine "is a live".

I hope this description can help you in determine if your machine vibrates abnormally.

I'm new to BMW bikes and I've noticed that on my 09 f650gs I hear more engine / transmition noise when it's in neutral and the clutch is not engaged. But I wouldn't describe it as running "rough". I just chalked it up as normal.
