Also, if you'd care to answer a question, you said that you give presentations at the Ural dealerships. What sort of things do you present?

Howdy treefort13,

Some say I have the gift of gab, I prefer the title world class BS'er myself. If the dealership has the ability to project them I have with me MANY photos on my computer of my Ural-a-ling adventures and enough stories to tell to bore even the most die hard Uralista to tears if the y care to listen to them. So what I do is whatever works for the dealership I am at, "IF" they have the time and clientèle to make a gathering worth the effort. :D

Great report Mr Cob, enjoying it all. I was a little suprised at the mpg totals you gave. Is that because of gearing or because of the age of the engines design?

Mr. Cob 07-25-2010 05:55 PM

Howdy all.

Well today was a great day I met Dan and Ellen at the truck stop I-90 and I-86 intersection in Pennsilvaia. Dan took Keon some very cool roads some paved some. Not lots of sand in the corners which leads me to where I now am, in a fried of Dans car on the way to the VA hospital in Bufflao.

While going around a corner the front tire of bike went in to a wobble whe it hit some sand,I am Ok the bike other then a. broken mirror andwindshield is OK.

I did hurt my left shoulder , I don't think anything is broken but we are going to get me checked out. I'll up date youfolks whe n I have further news.

Donna, please don't worry I'll call you assoonas I can, I am posting this using Dans I-phone. Stay tuned.

Mrs. Cob and the boys go for a Ural ride

It was a beautiful day today so I decided to take the boys for a Ural ride.

I know this one is a little blurry its a wonder I got a picture at all Newt was so excited when I got the Ural out of the garage he was jumping around like a Tazmanian Devil.

Here's Newt biting Spot. When ever we go any where he does that.

Finally, we're loaded up and ready to go.

We rode up the Mountain Loop Hwy. to the Ice Caves trail head. Had to take a pic so Mr. Cob would believe we went.

All together we did 89 km/ 53 miles. I know that doesn't sound like a lot but this was the first time I went Ural riding by myself.

So when we got home I came in the house and saw the light flashing on the answering machine. Yup 2 messages from Dave telling me not to worry. So I guess I won't not much I can do when he's 3,000 miles away. Thanks to all who are with him - I know he's in good hands.

Maybe I should have titled this post the adventures of Mr. and Mrs. Cob on two different coasts of the US.

Damn that sucks

Now I know it is a Ural and all but it is not a Gear Up, hope all is well and it is just a bruise or two. If you find that the ST hates sand I can trailer you the 1/10th of a mile from the pavement to my house when you get this far:wink: :lol3 . Get back on the trip, my dog is looking for an ear rub from someone and he is being a pest, I figure you will need a dog fix when you get this far:D .
