But, Triumph also deliberately tuned the Tiger softer because of its intended use.

So it happens I was talking to one of the Latus Racing techs the other day. He's confident another 16hp is available fairly easy, as in swap a custom exhaust cam, download a base tune, then spend a little time on a dyno.

No idea what that does to low end drivability, but there you are. I couldn't get a $$$ figure for what the work would cost at the time. DAKEZ might know more.

There is a thread somewhere of a bloke putting a Street Triple cam in the Tiger. But personally, I didn't buy the bike to go racing. IMO it's just about purrfect for it's intended use and a bit more.

Lots of people who ride my CBF1000 say the same thing and call it boring. It's not boring, it's just linear, so if you're used to that high rpm "hit", you think you are going slow. Yamaha Tenere gets knocked the same way but is as quick as anything else in it's class, except the Multi.

I completely agree. I've had people say my Tiger955 is slow and boring. "It's 1000cc, why doesn't it do 160mph?" But then they wonder how you're keeping up with them or, sometimes, beating them along a twisty road AND getting 10mpg more than their "crotch rocket".:lol3

+1

It's the right tool for the job. Never understood this constant need of some for more power.

Does anybody have the torque settings for the fork triple tree clamp bolts for a Roadie? The ones that connect the forks to the bike. I don't have my manual with me, but like to have them when I go a shop this afternoon.

I received an email from my dealer today that the "special order part" that I have ordered has come in. The only thing I am waiting for that I am aware of is my centerstand. It will be monday before I can get over there but keeping my fingers crossed.

Fuel line disconnected!!

Howdy,
has any of you encountered a situation with the fuel line coming detached from the tank??
I had a nasty surprise yesterday while entering a heavy traffic highway. First engine did stall and luckily I were clever enough not to try re-start it while roling instead I pulled of due to the traffic and did discover "something" draining on to the exhaust which then turned out to be fuel coming from the fuel pump..

I did notice that the fuel line was not "secured" so my fear is that while it was at the shop year ago due to the idle issues they never paid the attention to correct installation..:huh
