Sneak peek at Mad Max 4 vehicles.

Stopped at a truck stop somewhere in NSW and spied these vehicles under tarps trying hard not to be noticed. When I asked the truckie what they are he said he is transporting them to Silverton for the new Mad Max movie which is about to commence shooting. While he went for a piss I took some shots. Unfortunately I could only get the under sides of the vehicles but I can tell you they are huge and a lot of engineering went into them and there is some serious horsepower being produced by one of them (twin v8 engine).

One is a tracked vehicle and check out the cowcatcher on the front of one of them. There were 4 vehicles in total.

Sorry I couldn't get anymore photos but time was limited.

there were only 2 mad max movies.
the tina turner abomination was just something puked onto a plate and a random passer by thought it was a movie...

does anyone actually hold hope that fury road will be any good?

Blakduk 08-17-2010 01:05 AM

If it is done by Hollywood, then there is a better than even chance that it will be crap.
If it done by Australians, then there is a better than even chance that it will become a cult classic.

Mr Motorcross ;)

Steve Gall announced at classic DB#7 that he was head coordinator for all Moto stuntwork :clap

So even if the movie is shit the stunts should be shit hot :lol3

Nice find 3 legs.

One of the inmates here is involved with the production/special effects.....I think.

Therefore with ADV input it WILL be a classic.

Matt: I wish I could comment. Went to see the workshop about 2 months ago, enough to say the whole group had an enormous grin on their face the whole day. Some insane builds both two and four wheels (and more) and if the movie is anything as good as the vehicles, it will be a classic.

Tank's YEAH!!

In my Flinders rr you can see the roads they are building at Mundi Mundi Station, we tried to get thru to cobar but , the station owner's got some kinda cancer and well, his son doe'snt want to have even more work shutting gate's when idiot's don't shut em , so he said flat out NO.

Apparently they are not shooting because it's too green out there.

And there're doing 4 and 5 at the same time, dble Max:deal.

maybe, maybe not. lets see what happens once they fix up happy feet 2 eh... :thumb

i bet there's gunna be one seriously unhappy truckie once these photos kick the rounds. they scrapped one car before it even left cause it somehow got parked in public view...

the bikes they've built look the goods and the cars/trucks are something else again. it is almost a shame they plan to total the lot of them :huh

shall have to see what my spy reports about progress forward :thumb

dont forget this is the second time they've geared up to do 4, hopefully this time they go through with it.

I know one of the blokes who is working on the mad max set (he's been painting the vehicles) He reckons there are hundreds of crazy looking rigs that have been built and some have two or three copies just so they can blow them up.
Apparently there is no budget for the movie so they have just gone nuts on building all the vehicles.

I've got an invite to the set of the movie before they start filming :lol3
