Blaster in!

Dorito is will join us late AM on Sat, as she has another commitment. She is also still working the "ger"-animal care issue...

Lance,

Would it be possible to meet up with your group in Elkton on Sunday the 24th? If so, let me know the details (time/location).

It might be the only day I have available that week-end.

Tom

Lance,

My wife and I are planning on making the ride. Do you have a location picked out to meet in Lexington Park? :ricky

Any idea on the hotel in Elkton, not sure if we need to make reservations.

[quote=GS_ADV_PILOT]Excellent questions Walter. Looking forward to meeting the little devil on your shoulder... "Just buy the bike" :lol3 AKA your wife

Any suggestions on a breakfast place? I'm an infrequent traveler there now.

There are three places that I know of for breakfast.

Bob Evans - California MD
IHOP - Lexington Park
Linda's Cafe -Lexington Park

Linda's is the smallest but all three may be crowded on a Saturday morning.

I am suggesting we each find a hotel that meets our budget. They are all relatively close. Here are a list of Elkton Hotels...

Hampton Inn Elkton, 2 Warner Road, Elkton, MD (410) 398-7777

Motel 6 Elkton, 223 Belle Hill Road, Elkton, MD (410) 392-5020

Days Inn Elkton MD, 311 Belle Hill Road, Elkton, MD (410) 392-5010

Knights Inn, 262 Belle Hill Rd, Elkton, MD (410) 392-6680

La Quinta Inn & Suites, 304 Belle Hill Road, Elkton, MD (410) 620-9494

New Eastern Inn, 291 E. Pulaski Hwy., ELKTON, MD (410) 398-0530

Sutton Motel- 405 E Pulaski Hwy, Elkton, MD (410) 398-3830

West End Gardens Motel Apartments, 205 W Pulaski Hwy, Elkton, MD (410)398-3700

Comfort Suites - 1570 Elkton Road, Elkton, MD (443) 350-9154

I would avoid the Motel 6 and Knights Inn, if at all possible. The venues are very near a truck stop, and let's just say I am not sure that the rooms were used more than hour or so. Furthermore, the motel was very run-down.

The next morning we will be on the road for 7AM and breakfast in St. Michaels for 9AM (81 miles). Then down to Tilghman, MD and continue down to the bay tunnel for 2PM (185 miles) then to 64 to get out of the urban sprawl up to 17N to 301 to the Nice Bridge 7PM (158 miles)

It will be a long day but one to remember; anyone can crash at my place... I have 3 extra beds across the bridge.

As for breakfast... Can someone show up 20 minutes early at Bob Evans to get the SMIBs a table?

I can get there early and get a table.

What time/location are you meeting Saturday AM near Colonial Beach?

Scotty P 10-17-2010 01:35 PM

Peeing in windows? Damn, you SMIBs know how to have fun!:zilla:hide:lol3

JaxWife has put up with me being gone alot lately, so I am going to do half the ride this weekend. I'll probably peel off as you reach Baltimore on Saturday.
I just went across the CBBT yesterday, the ocean was like a mill pond, and there musta been 400 boats out fishing.

Lance -

Chris and I are up in the air right now (he may have to work Saturday). If he's not working, we plan to meet up with you guys in St. Michaels to ride down to the bay bridge tunnel with everyone.

I'll be on my bike this time but not sure how I feel about getting to St. Michael's riding alone. But ya never know...you may see me solo, if Chris is working.

Looks like alot of fun.

Lisa
