7 days in Moab on KTMs

Scruffy, Berolina, Spartan and me spent a week exploring toughest trails in immediate Moab area on dual sported KTMs(320, 2 450s and 530). We were spending nights in a condo(in Moab), no camping.
We did Kane Creek, Steel Bender, Pritchett Canyon(wrong way), Poison Spider, Sleek Rock with Hells gate, Cliffhanger, Rose garden Hill with Top of the World, and all of Sovereign trails(40 miles of it).
I could barely stand after that. I am sure that Riseless can do it on his 950 no problem.

Everyone should ride this area if you have a chance.
All bikes survived, riders a little bit up but nothing major.

Ok,
First Ride - Kane Creek. Really beautiful, starts easy then flows through the creek bed. Sand, water flowing. Every time you ride it - you get to go different way. It's like a labyrinth. Not too challenging, depends on water level and season. Perfect in October. You go in and then turn around and go back or you could get oh pavement , but it's stupid.

Closer to the end you have to go through one somewhat rocky uphill and one other short rocky section

After that last obstacle we played on the face of the rock until Spartan decided to test his fortune and ended up hanging about 50-60 feet above the ground. It was a scary moment, but we didn't waste any time taking pictures and then helped him out. Unfortunately pictures really don't show how close he got to pretty bad outcome.

At the end of the lower section somebody installed this steel ramp. Unfortunately it doesn't work with knobbies - It's like being on the ice.
It wasn't there 2 years ago.

Great pics. I just did Kane Creek, Oct. 6th on my 70th BD on a bad running, pretty much full throttle or it wouldn't run, 1995 Honda XR650L, my buddy was on a Yam WR250X. Rain, thunder & lots of lighting towards the end. We went through to the pavement as the weather got worse. Would not reccomend this ride on this bike at 70, but I am probably just a wimp:lol3

Here is another half a day (or less) ride Steel Bender. South of Moab, may be 5 miles from town. Generally easy, but some steps here and there can slow you down. Clockwise.

SR can be done on almost any bike with right tires. Hells gate - very short, but can get you in trouble.

We didn't know about this trail and just wanted to look at it. Wrongfully we decided that this huge crack and drop off was it.

And then we found the real Hells gate. It looked easy, so I went down. Rear tire locked up instantly and I was fishtailing left and right all the way done. Apparently it was really slick this time. You could see smoke from rear tire.

It was fun, but somehow pictures really don't look like that big of a deal at all. We literally went just around the corner to find the way out. It looked intimidating.

We made it out. You don't have to go this way up, other way would be easy. This rock face was super slick, like ice.
