crankcase breather?

Maybe I'm being bone headed and/or lost (wouldn't be the first time) among the various EPA mandated hoses, but I can't seem to locate the crankcase breather.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

It's all out there on the interweb... sometimes you just have to dig.

So, it appears the F800 motors do not vent directly out of the crankcase. Rather the crankcase vents somehow through an internal path and ultimately out of valve cover (#3 in drawing). The valve cover connects a crankcase breather hose (#2 in drawing) to the bottom of the airbox.

Considering the drawing above and Oso Blanco's pictures below, can anybody comment on the path of the crankcase venting?

through the cam chain duct, as well as any oil return passages.
