Fuel Line Quick Disconnect

I need to replace the fuel line quick disconnect on my 990A.

Has anyone found a better and less expensive set.
A stronger set than the stock plastic ones would be good.
What's the hose I.D. ?

Thank,s Max

Mine broke last summer, I couldn't believe what KTM wants for a replacement! And they charge for each end, both male and female. :huh

So I ordered mine from Justgastanks.com after I couldn't source one locally, the same damn thing (only white) at half the cost.

I'm pretty sure this is the one I got and you want: 5/16" with dual shut-offs (but double check the hose size, I'm just going from memory):

Same damn thing, down to the factory markings.

I got mine here and they have a shitload of other cool fittings! http://www.industrialspec.com/

I probably shouldn't have put anything Beemer related in here anyway. Thanks.

I just replaced mine after dropping the bike 100 miles from nowhere and riding home with a fine mist spraying on my leg the whole way home. No damage to the bike other than the mystery of a cracked QD. It is definitely 5/16". I picked one up from coyote (http://www.coyote-gear.com/quickdisconnects.html) as it was not too far off from me and shipping would be quick. Much better QD and great customer service as well. I also went ahead and replaced all the fuel line with HP fuel injection line rated to 250psi. Overkill I know but the $10.00 in hose is just insurance as far as I am concerned.

Made of lightweight, 6061-T6 aluminium, brass valves, and stainless steel ball bearings, they are corrosion resistant for extra long life.

Jiffy-tite is the only Quick-Connect fitting on the market today approved for use in all categories of NHRA and IHRA. They are also accepted for use in SCCA for virtually ALL fuel, water, oil and transmission applications.

# Plug and Socket Assembly Lighter than any in the Industry
# Black and Gold anodised
# Constructed of 6061-T6, Brass Valves, & Stainles Steel Ball Bearings

I have limited experience with quick connect couplings (QDs) so I would appreciate feedback on my question. I have a multi-fuel camp stove will run on gasoline, as well as white gas, kerosene, etc.. How feasible would it be to fill my MSR stove bottle via the quick connect coupling? Is there a better way to do this? I am trying to simplify for a longer trip so I am trying to fugure out the best way to approach this.

Feedback would be appreciated!
