I used to see Vicky all the time back in the day when we were both racing. She was a chubby little dez racer girl.
A few years later she was marking my fendercard at one of the So Cal MC Nationals, probably in her mid twenties by then, damn! Hubba Hubba, has she changed....

Maybe she was working at XR's when you were there Scott?

LR always had an eye for the ladies! But I love that guy, super cool, always friendly, and still very fast on a bike.

I'm surprised XR's is still open after all these years. In the early and mid nineties I would go into that nasty ass little front office just inside the front door to find no one at the desk unless Vicki was sittin there on her ass doin nothin. Swear to god you could stand there 10 minutes with these fucksticks comin in and out from the shop and completely ignore you. Shit, probably one of them was you! LOL Anyway I didn't give a shit since i didn't keep that XR 600 too long, and I loved to gaze at a picture of myself from one on the Check Chase Hare and Hounds that was posted on the wall just inside the front door!

Those were the days!!! I know your were wrenched for their Euro Savior, Davide Trolli at the time.

I raced Trail Bikes (100cc) in the early 70's. Larry, Wes Anderson Jr., Jack Morgan, Terry Clark, Mitch Mayes and a few others were the hot dogs. Jack Morgan was 100cc champion for 5 years in a row. He was NOT a youngster. The Trail Bikes started behind the big bikes, but you would not know it at the finish line.

In the 1969 Barstow to Vegas race, 1000 big bikes started 30 minutes ahead of the 300 trail bikes. Terry Clark finished 55th overall.

yes i worked there back in the day : 90-92 then again 1999-2000???
i was a big fan of AL Baker since i was young, and finally got to work there but unfortunally that was after his plane crash thay he never did recover from :cry
i was a fun place w/alot of famous people (racers) that came in to hang out and BS!
its still the same dark dank place it always has been:puke1

Davide Trolli- yea that was a great experience, I got to go to two Nevada Rallys and a few ISDE qualifiers!
I meet ALOT af famous people-rally riders-fmf owners etc- he was like a magnet whenever we went to races!
he taught me alot about riding/life skils and introduced me to my Wife:raabia of 17years

The lady wants to go out Nov 3rd but that will be alot of wkends in a row for me.

I used love the old XRs Only, Vicky to. Every year I got $1000 income tax return and had Scott do my motor. Problem was I had an XL600 with every motor mod possible on a bike with 8 inches of travel, idiot.
I did the Al Baker memorial ride with a bunch of crazies out at Al's ranch.

Davide taught us to practice riding with one hand, and alway blip the throttle going down hills.

Did the motor only last a year because Scott rebuilt it?
