Mt Cleveland Tasmania
 

Well as it was a Public holiday here and it was nice with clear skies :huh

a decision was made to ride up Mt Cleveland now i had wanted to go up there twice before and both times i got rained out of it and then there was simply finding the correct track to go up!

so i mounted my trusty WR250r of Awesomeness and left boring old Deroport via the highway(felt like riding to work) to highclere then onto the Oonah rd across to the Murchison Hwy to ride the Gorge. now i did video riding through here but it got stuffed up transferring it across to the computer :cry(as did riding up Mt Cleveland) so only some pictures on the way

a broken sign with Hazelwoods rd on it is the turn off to go to Mt Cleveland(Mt Cleveland rd sign is up on the right about 1km in) some good dirt rd until Mt Cleveland rd
then some rainforest road that thins out the higher you go then it's loose gravel with steep switch backs and loose rocks all the way to the top

well after this i rode into the wind back to Hampshire then to Riana taking Cookies rd to Penguin

How was the track up to the eastern peak?, it looked pretty gnarly !

I went up to the western peak, it was stinking hot and I was buggered, so I skipped the eastern peak, I figured it gave me a good excuse to go back there again one day ... :lol3

Not as bad as it looks momentum is sometimes your friend :D if you get up there the worst is out of the way

No video :cry(i thought i had the gorge and the way up the Mountain and back but no..) so i will have to do it again myself:ricky and i'll drag El Toad Man up there :lol3

Yeah mate, sick of ripping knobs off the rear tyres!! Wear out a tyre after a few rides hey! :rofl
