Motos pay half price on cuotas!!
 

FINALLY! I remember seeing mention of the change of law a while back (couldn't find the thread to update it though), but they've been customarily slow to actually make it happen, but today for the first time I got charged half price on the cuota section of 200 between Manzanillo and Tecoman. It looks like they finally made the change. I can't say if it's in effect nationally yet, but as of today it is here in this corner of Mexico. Wooooo! :clap

There's one around Maz that's always been 1/2, but I don't remember which one right now.
Hopefully, this goes national.

The feedback I'm getting from riders around Guadalajara is that is nation wide. Lets hope.

I rode from Guad to Manzanillo two weeks ago and paid full price at all 4 toll booths, including the one that only charged me half today, so if it's in effect there, it was a recent change.

The new law is nation wide and it's in effect since November 15 :clap:clap:clap

TODAY I LEAVE FOR LAREDO TEXAS AND WILL BE USING TOLL ROADS THE ENTIRE WAY UP AND BACK.

WILL DOUBLE CHECK AND POST LATER TODAY.

I rode down on Nov 13th and paid full tolls in Nogales, Magdalena and Hermosillo and rode back on the 16th and paid half the tolls, so just maybe its actually true!!:clap

yes and this is why! not ALL coutas are on the program, here is a map of the ones that ARE. Also the half price started on the 14th of November.

Thank you all for the positive posts. My wife and I will be riding south out of Tucson in mid December. The idea of half price tolls will save us a bundle!!

It's about time. They should follow Colombia's lead and make it free for motos to use the cuotas.

Today I took the cuota from Valle de Bravo to Toluca and then up to Atlacomulco and on all 4 casetas-toll booth I got charged the same as the cars :ruskie:ruskie:ruskie

The first two times they told that they have not been informed about any price reduction and in the following 2 toll booth they told me that the new price will start January 1 , 2013

Then on the Arco Norte to Puebla , I paid only half price .

Stick to the libres, they're more fun. :D
