Akrapovic or Remus

Hi everyone, I would like to change my exhaust system on my 2007 GS 1200 to have better performance. I'm not sure if Akrapovic is better as a Remus. Anyone have expeience with those 2 exhaust?
Thank you

In all seriousness, if you want a bit more performance, leave the exhaust alone and richen the mixture with a pair of LC-1s from Innovate Motorsports. Or try a powercommander V.

These boxers already get plenty of air through the engine. What they need and be fit from is 4-8% more fuel. The stock bikes are too lean and the exhaust won't change that.

Definitely Akrapovich, I put it one together with a BoosterPlug and I have to say the bike runs better...

Since you're asking about how to have "better performance", buy two of these, one for each O2 sensor at a total cost of $320. Install them set to an AFR of 13.8:1. You'll get more performance than any other straightforward modification. You're adding fuel to a too lean engine.

Huh? The LC-1s give it a husky mellow tone.

They're not like the poolside gizmo. This unit is a computer that manages a new Wideband O2 sensor. Think user adjustable fuel mixture for all operating modes. The LC-1 was designed for DIY racers but fits the Oilheads perfectly.

Do you really think you will be able to feel the 2-5% gain(at best)? Lots of people say they can, but I suspect it's all psycological and mostly they appreciate the difference in sound = Louder sounds faster. 3-4% is nothing.
The electonic fuel management mods make a bigger difference, and you would want it with the exhaust anyway. Start there.
