Please tell me you are going to do this again Feb 22nd? :jump

I'll be in town that weekend visiting family in Winston! Have fun this weekend!

Is this place open to the public on a regular basis? Can't make it tomorrow but would like to check it out sometime. Any affiliation with the old yadkinville gncc course?

Had lots of fun yesterday, tons of trails and an mx track. Unfortunately it rained 2 days before so it was muddy. I should be heading back out there in the next few weeks. The trails have something to offer everyone from beginner to expert the only thing is they are not marked as beginner or expertso you can easily get in over your head.:D

Are the trails marked/arrowed? One way?

late-apex 02-10-2013 12:33 PM

Some are marked, some are just trails that look like a atv just cut thru the woods. We hit some marked trails and then just went exploring.

Mainly concerned about encountering head on traffic on two way trails. Pretty much my one deal breaker for riding in the woods.

Stay on the main trail and you'll be good, on the others I didn't encounter any two way traffic. The thing is all trails start at the beginning towards the front of the main dirt road and end towards the back of the main road. Two of the trails were clearly marked and arrowed.

Good deal. Looks like a fun place to ride.

aplscrambles 02-11-2013 08:10 AM

Agreed, definite deal breaker if trails aren't one way, especially if there's any higher speed sections. They'll wish they had after an injury or two!

late-apex 02-11-2013 04:27 PM

These trails are far too technical to get much speed on, but I can understand your concern. I started a facebook group for the Winston-Salem guys and those in the surrounding to get together and do group rides off road and hopefully some dualsport rides. https://www.facebook.com/groups/Hooliganoffroad/

aplscrambles 02-11-2013 07:51 PM

Understood. Tough and technical is my middle and last names.:evil Just clicked to join your page. Interested to see who and what types of rides come to topic.

Cool, it's gonna be cold and muddy this weekend so I don't think we'll be doing anything, but who knows some of these guys are real hooligans!
