Do they fit in the airbox? Or would I put the lid of the airbox back on?

gefr 05-07-2013 02:11 AM

No they replace the whole airbox completely.
The base plate sits on the throttle bodies. Τhe foam filter attaches on the base plate.

Could/would you make any for the RC8.

KTM 950 base plate.
I saw this thread and wanted to know whether you are still making these plates and if you are how much is one to the UK?

gefr 12-31-2014 12:06 AM

Yes I am.
As a matter of fact I recently received an order. I also have some with no breather hole and a few without sensor holes and without breather holes.

Fitted mine over the weekend, had to soak the foam rings in hot water as tight fit but nice work, Akro mapping, with my fmf cans she's a beast now, what a roar!!! Might have to put the spark arresters back to quieten her down.

Thanks again

Could you please explain, concerning the foam rings? Is this a procedure that makes the foam tight?
Happy you liked the results.

Peat 01-20-2015 12:44 PM

I couldn't get the base plate to fit as the foam rings were a Really tight fit, I soaked them in hot water to make them a little softer to allow figment of all the parts
, when they cooled down they returned to their original size and thus a nice tight fit😀
