Forest Road 475

I'm heading down to Blue Ridge Motorcycle Campground on the 17th. Looking at a map I thought I might explore forest road 475 in Pisgah National Forest. Any thoughts, comments, etc., about riding through there? Any other good back roads in that area?

I ridden it along with several others in that area. They are great

I started in Ashville on FS479 near Lake Powatan. It takes you under and parallel to the Parkway over to Hwy 276. From there you can cross over and pick up FS475.
I think that the fish hatchery is on FS475

I also stayed at BRMC campground during my trip.
My ride report here has some more info along with some pics

I also got a lot of info from other inmates here:

475...That sounds familiar. Isn't that near Brevard somewhere?

Not much too it but still nice. You can ride up towards farlow gap but it dead ends. after cove creek campground going towards the fish hatchery it turns to asphalt. 475 b offers a nice ride around looking glass on gravel. if you ride 276 towads the parkway and take 1206/yellow gap road, this will take you to n mills river campground. intersecting the campground is fs5000 or wash creek which, as previously mentioned will take you up to the parkway on the north side of mt pisgah. These are all gravel but should be pretty quick with all the rain we've had.
Enjoy

Thanks, it's good to have a lot of options.
