Best Sounding Stock Exhaust?

I'll vote for my bike (natch). Moto Guzzi Breva 1100. They didn't muffle it into no sound at all. It's got a nice little small-block V-8 sounding burble at idle, and is nice and throaty when reved.

I like the stock exhaust note on my YX600.

KLR 650 4 sure

Ducati. End of thread.

In all honesty, a STOCK Harley exhaust sounds really nice, and I'm not an HD guy by any means.

The problem is that stock exhaust on HDs are about as common as hen's teeth...

I've always found my father-in-law's stock F800 exhaust nice

I'd even say it sounds better (at idle) than the Akra in this case :hide

This is a bit off topic but I was always the guy who took off the stock exhaust and put a aftermarket one on. But last year I put the stock exhaust back on my DR650 and I like it! And I think my neighbors and the public in general do to.

You make a good point. I spent 10 days on a rented Road King a while back, and while I bitched constantly about every other aspect of the bike, I thought the stock exhaust note was quite gentlemanly. Just enough of a deep bark, yet very easy to live with.

This one is easy - Ducati Panigale.

Ducati. It's very distinctive, sort of like the Ferrari autos.

I gotta agree, the ducati's sound awesome. But I have to put a plug in here for the Triumph Triples. My '01 Speed sounds awesome with the stock exhaust, especially over 5,000 rpm's!:deal

Count me as another who loves the sound of the stock HD exhaust. For the life of me I can't figure out why anyone would replace that throaty rumble with pure noise!

I don't know if it was stock, but I did hear a Guzzi once that sound pretty cool. Sounded like a Harley kinda.:lol3

Any Ducati. But I think the air cooled 2 valves sound better than the Desmoquattro

TrashCan 05-16-2013 04:07 PM

Sounds like a small block GM.
