Godspeed Wild Bill Warner

The LSR community lost a legend today at Loring Maine. He went down at about the 4000' mark in the mile. He was probably up over 250 when it happened. Reports are that he slid forever a 1000' ft.

Wow, awake and talking after the crash only to die over an hour later. :eek1

Godspeed seems appropriate...

Uhg, there is another thread in perfect line. Like I said there I am crushed. Shutdown is the most dangerous part. Cliff Gullet and Dave Owen both crashed in shutdown too. I mention those because I have some familiarity with each of them.

At some point, the racers and organizers are going to have to consider what is prudent. It may be that the regular 250, 260mph and up runs are a game changer from a track perspective. My little vintage bikes give me no experience to comment... but make a guy thing, don't it.

Godspeed Bill.

Eric

Yup, I talked to Dave O a few times. Noonan, Papi, Snail(Paul), and Stites and a lot of other guys in the LSR Bike community are friends. Scary shite.
