2013 TTUHNFCO/R - Nov. 8-9-10 (IN)

Here's the intended route for 2013 TTUHNFCO/R and it mirrors Day 2 of the HNF for a good ways so that folks who missed it can say they've ridden it. Feel free to ride this Friday, Saturday, Sunday or anytime y'all want to do it. After it leaves the HNF route it winds back to the south using some of our favorite roads.

Please make a note for folks to ride quietly when they enter areas that are in wooded neighborhoods. Yellowwood Lane/Freeman Ridge/Wallow Hollow Roads come to mind.

Note that this route does NOT go into Nashville. If folks want to go there for lunch they do so at their own risk. The town cops are writing tickets to people on bikes who don't have OEM exhaust systems. The route does go very close to Gatesville and through Pikes Peak which are alternative places to grab a bite to eat. It goes by the Shell station at Salt Creek Rd. and IN 46 and gas is also available at Pikes Peak.

Note that the route also goes near or parallels some off-road riding, some of it legal, some not. You're all adults so make your own decisions as to where you want to ride.

This is Woodsrat's raw route file....

I tried to clean up Woodsrat's file a bit so that it follows the roads a little better and here's what I came up with. This is the proposed "route" with no flags or via points. There's a couple of different sections on his intended route that weren't included on my Garmin maps for some reason. I double checked Google Earth and the road does, in fact, go through where he says it does. Unfortunately, Garmin BaseCamp wouldn't let me make a "route connection" through a spot where it had seen no road. Hopefully my rendition doesn't make things more confusing and/or worse for everyone. Also, where you see the start/finish flags in my file and not really the start/finish. I believe that Woodsrat intended this as a circular route. Please keep that in mind as you study my route minus the connecting link
