The best way to load a bike solo

Being that I'm ripped like a true skinny-boy, I had to use my brain to figure out how to load my dr up into my lifted truck.

Here is what I came up with.

1500lb comalong, sturdy oak tree.

And here is a video of the advanced weight-transfer transition technique that was implemented.

Anyone else use a similar technique? An even scarier one?

So how do you get it out when you get where you are going?

I hear science is going to be coming out with the inclined plane soon.

That's a rumor. Don't believe everything you read on the internet. :D

Actually you could do away with the the come-along if you tied the loose end of the strap to your truck provided the strap went over a second branch spaced towards your truck.

How do you load the oak tree?

I got it out with the help of some muscle dummies at the gym in my apartment complex.
Parked it out in front of the building, went in and asked for some strong guys to come and help me out. Three of them lifted it out of my bed while I supervised.

I made sure to complement them a bunch and call them "hella strong" and all that jazz that they need to validate themselves.

I've heard good things about that inclined plane you are talking about, but from my understanding it is considered risky business to drive up one into the back of a truck alone.:lol3

This might have turned into a "4 foot drop from the back of a truck broke my leg" type of thread.

When I load a bike up a ramp solo, I can push it most of the way; I then manually turn the rear wheel spoke by spoke to get it the rest of the way. The pushing part is easy, the hard part for me is not dropping the bike when it gets up there, because eventually it has to roll forward without any guidance on the bars. This will knock my sidestand back up if I'm not careful.

I wonder if those nice guys who unloaded the bike for you know you're talking shit about them behind their backs. Poor guys

Why not find a hill you could back the truck up to and ride or walk it right in?? Just a small elevation change should do it...

Kinda like this

that's similar to my method but rather than go in somewhere and ask for help I lay behind my truck and cry. usually draws a crowd of helpful on lookers
