I have done a lot of crap to my 94 KLR, but the best mod so far was adding a Staintune pipe. It is a different bike. It was spendy but worth every penny.

Thanks for the reply, yes the bolts are facing the correct way. The linkage still had sufficient lube, I cleaned and repacked the needle bearing assy.

Same exact symptoms.
Either way sounds like a starvation issue.

IMO, the seafoam and gas treatments would only help with varnish buildup as the petcock...
