Diff oil removal by suction method

Just wondering if it is possible to use an oil suction device to remove the oil from a r1200gs differential, talking about the 04-07 models that bmw forgot to put a drain plug in:)

tkc 80 wear pattern

I have tkc 80 on my 1150 gs and it wears just normally, not like that.
Looks like the tire may be under-inflated.

Oil quantity

My 1150 gs uses very little oil, I use to be paranoid about the oil level, the level seemed to go up and down and sometimes I overfilled it because it would smoke like crazy when I started it up.

Just my 2 cents worth here.
Whatever you add to the side stand make sure that it does not have a sharp edge, as when riding in soft sand etc , you fall off, these things can slice your leg bad....

I had the same problem I found that Anakee2 (similar to Tourances) were good on the pavement but average on the dirt.
I ended up putting TKC80 knobblies in the front, left the Anakee on the back....

$25 US. + $10 postage, much better than $350.

If you can afford a V Strom 650, then that is the way to go, far superior to KLX650 and a DR Suzuki.
No comparison, but you most likely will have to pay more a V-Strom.

They can use a bit of oil so make sure you check the sight glass every 500km or so, best to rest it the centre stand and check oil first thing in the morning.
