These bikes are dry sumped. so your not relying on an oil pick up in a sump, which could suck air doing this sort of thing.

May I ask....
Is the aluminium ( uluminiminminm) attached to the screen or directly to the bike, I ask purely as an issue of safety if you went over the bars, the way the screen mounts may allow the screen to pop...

I heard years ago that normal trail bike plastic is slightly porous and it lifts the paint, and this is why KTM use polyamide(?) plastic as it can be painted. (and is in no doubt part of the costing...
