Bloodworth BMW - Customer Experience

After thinking on my experience a bit more, I decided the forum is probably not the best place to voice this. If you want to hit me up with a PM regarding my experience at Bloodworth, I'd be happy to...

For the Packing Nerds

On this trip I took Aerostich Tank Panniers, a Sea line dry bag, and the Giant Loop Great Basin. Below is the overall packing list and which bag it went into. Some of this was subject to some...

Trans Lab with Giant Loop

I recently rode from Nashville up the Trans Lab with a dry-line and the Great Basin. Worked like a charm. You can read more about it here:...

2000 Miles=How many coffees?

Blast-Day 1
We woke up with the highway in our ear calling us home. We were in North Sydney Nova Scotia and the day was already warm. We said our goodbyes to Fab418 and took off along the 'inland...

Port Aux Basques

I wish I had some fancy camera attached to my bike that was water resistant and took incredible pictures at high speeds. If I had something like that, rest assured you'd be looking at some...

Newfoundland

It was getting dark and the rain was starting to get a bit too steady for comfort by the time we road off the ferry. We were still riding with our new friend from Vermont and hoping that one of us...

Port Hope Simpson to Blanc Sablon

We camped for free at a small lake side spot with a few other riders after dinner the night before. In the morning we were once again mauled by furious swarms of seasonal bugs. I suppose if you...

We're Famous

Once again we hit the road early. The sun rises so early that far north and there was nothing to exciting to do at the 'Chatel.' Back on the road the dust was fierce and we made some good time. ...

Chalet is Generous

I'm not sure how many 'chalets' smell like fried chicken and burnt coffee grounds. It was nice getting to know folks though. Your average American mega-chain hotel does not offer that amenity.

Gagnon to Churchill Falls

The morning was just slightly chilly, but the clear blue sky reflected perfectly over the lake. Sadly we had to sprint in order to make out of there without losing too much blood to the carnivorous...

Manic 5 and Gagnon

After losing the morning on the tire swap we hit the road once more. There was a light drizzle as we sought the entrance to the famed road. We had been hearing from locals that it might be shut...

Tire Swap Fiasco

Plans are always best when viewed as a hypothetical sketch of what 'might happen.' Although Blake had called ahead and arranged the appointment to swap out 3 rear tires for Joe, Mike, and Blake,...

Day 3-Beau Comeau

The morning light led us out of town and back onto the Canadian highways. I was getting pretty decent at converting kilometers when we left the busy lanes for the 138 parallel to the St. Lawrence...

Lake Ontario to Quebec City

The next morning we settled up at the gate ($33-yikes) and took off on some backroads along the lake. The morning ride was gorgeous. A few times I saw what looked to be low lying bits of mist right...

Lake Ontario

That night we rolled into camp along Lake Ontario with approximately 92% of our bodies aching. We covered just about 800 miles and went through Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and finally New York. ...

Nashville to Labrador

It was pitch black in Nashville at 4:30a.m. on July 10th. The humidity had already kicked in and mist hung from every streetlight. It was a Tolkien-esque way to start our Trans Lab adventure. The...

Cost of Remap?

Has anyone had to pay for the remap, and if so what was the *damage*? Trying to head to Labrador this summer from Nashville and it wouldn't be a bad plan to get the remap done. Thanks in advance :)
