Yeah, I drilled a hole in the top of the tongue and ran a bolt through it.

If I end up with stress cracks, then it will give me a good reason to build a longer tongue.

Hey fellow Michigander! I would recommend contacting Moto Pro http://www.moto-pro.com/default.asp and getting upgraded rear springs and fork springs. It makes a big difference!
