For posterity ... I decided to plump for the 2010. Fueling nicer, & the few extra add some extra vim as well. Insurance gap managable.

OneDay & Matduport speak the truth. That is the problem for sure - I can hear it shorting when using the starter motor. Ordering new relay bits as I type.
