"every time the battery dies"... Are BMW TPMS sensors THAT different from the ones used in the automotive world?

All the TPMS sensors for cars that I have seen have a battery that supposedly lasts...

If the manufacturer is reading this -- It wouldn't require too much of a design change to make these bars "plug removal friendly"; just a slight 30mm re-bend down and fwd of the offending bar right...
