I mix it 50/50 with pre-mix I make myself. Can't say for use if it benefits, but I am on my 3rd year with this string trimmer, and usually the ethanol rots out carbs way before then.

Did they ever resolve the instability issue? Heard about a couple accidents they were blaming the bike for, and I think they found it was the pole mounted light in rear causing it.

I swapped out an air temp gage for an oil temp gage.....what a mistake. All I do is fixate on the oil temps hovering around 265 (normal).:eek1 Before, I just rode the crap out of it. :D

No problems with my ST1300 in the heat. Had 2 thermostat failures (known problem) but that was sticking open, so the engine would not heat up and economy suffered.
