My new-to-me '09 X-Country achieves around 50mpg only on average. I've read reports of up to 70mpg. I don't have a heavy hand at all...

The best mechanical investment/addition I have made on my bike was a pair of quality earplugs.

IMO, with a higher lean angle it's easier to settle the bike in uneven terrain .

The smaller the bottom of the tri-angle is, the more difficult it is to find a stable position.

140's work!

I got about 7k miles on the last 140. Better speed/weight rating than the 150 and they never suffered the delamination that some 150's did. Traction, noise, etc the same.
