What a pity you can't get Vern's in the USA

Hand made in the shed by a master craftsman, the quality would make you weep for joy...

Huge capacity, no wider than handlebars, fully welded, hard anodised, etc., etc...

Regular GS shocks on Adventure

Yep, done that too. Easy to fit and a said before, it makes the bike easier to control. Side stand is better, centre stand is OK, except if full panniers are on - then it's impossible!

One thing...

Lower gear useful if...

... you're two-up, loaded with huge panniers'n'stuff, starting off up a ferking big hill. Lower sixth does mean slightly poorer mpg, but handy in the twisty bits - again, more so if fully loaded for...

At the moment I'm in the 'Quit while you're ahead' camp... :fall

On the other hand, if I was stupid enough to do it once, it's entirely possible I'm stupid enough to do it...

Thanks Possu (Steve?)

Good to find out who was the kind soul that helped out - that pillion ride was a godsend! Uneventful (if painful) ride home. Broken ankle. Bugger!

Why bother cutting?

ZTechnik is a good screen, well made and effective. As Tobers and others point out, you don't NEED to cut the screen...

Good combo

Bought the higher Z-Technik when it came out and it worked well, but the addition of the Tobinators - excellent solution! Highly recommended.

Map recommendations?

Although I hope to be using GPS, we'll need some good maps to plan the routes, preferably with some kind of marking to show 'scenic' roads. Michelin show a green border on those roads in their...

Use standard 1150 mounting plate
