2009 r12gs bought last june as leftover, 1 yr later, 11000 miles, no problems other than fuel strip sensor replaced and front brake line replaced under warranty. Still has stock tires on it.

Congrats on the new bike!! I have a 2009 1200gs and that red r12r looks very tempting. They also make the classic w/ spoke wheels-equally sharp.

Owners manual said 6000, dealer told me they wait till 12000. I know at 1100 and im guessing, close to 3000, I had to top off the oil.

Just picked up a leftover 09 1200gs and they were stock on them. After 1100 miles or so, they seem great. No off road yet but on roads and cornering, they feel good so far.

Similar here, just got my 2009 1200gs last week and also 6'2/210, the leg room is great but I do find the seat a bit hard and fairing buffeting annoying. Curious to take mine on some light dirt roads...

Traded in my moto guzzi 1200 sport for the bmw with 1100 miles, much more leg room and comfort. (seat is hard though and my oil icon came on) I sense a new seat in the future and topping off oil more...

Great looking bike, I got rid of my scrambler and got a moto guzzi 1200 sport. If I ever wanted a 2nd bike, Id get the FI scrambler and set it up like yours.
