ROX Risers with a nice gap?

Just fitted my ROX risers on a '11 GS1200 cables fit fine, bars fit fine but i get this nice gap where the risers bolt to the OEM bar mounts.
Is this common?
Risers are the 1 1/8 and the bars fit...
