Nope, the 13 doesn't have modes... I still never turn off ABS.... Works very well on dirt, including loose and steep stuff.

For what it's worth, recently purchase a 2013 F800GS and came from a Husky TE610 which is a reasonable off road bike for its size.

I've not ridden the pre 2013 800 but found my new GS to work...
