If I had to I'd disconnect the battery, ECM, ABS module and the multifunction display.

There's a lot of technology on these bikes...

Maybe buy a new KTM rack, since that is the tough to fit part, and a used set of Touratech panniers. Years ago I got lucky and found a used set for my 1200 GS.

After adjusting the clutch cable I installed the new shifter bushing and bolt and got in a short ride. It still slipped.
