Thanks for the replies guys. The mechanics that are working on my bike are concerned about the limited space between a timesert and the cylinder hole. It does seem rather close.

cool, thanks for the advice guys! good point about a newer bike having similar issues. My Guzzi is a 2002 and it has some of the same things, plastics falling apart, electrical gremlins etc
