Rust comes out of the end-caps eventually; so you could seal that up.

Also, the bar needs to be bolted closer to the ends for my taste....

My kids and I like Mendo National Forest in Lake County.

North on 101 to Ukiah, then 40 minutes maybe to the camp at the bottom.

Paved sites. Porta potty, running water........and starry...

Exc and xcw are the exact same set up. 13' valving is the best stock.

Springs from 09' are the same as the current bikes. Shock angles and geometry different.

Not an answer to the chain question but I have two wheel sets.

Stock wheel has 14/50 gearing which is good for a dual sport ride.

Other wheel is 14/52. Same chain. Great single track gearing....

Stock exc ECU modules just get reflashed to EU spec. Then mapping switches work no problem and bike runs awesome.

On 500 anyway.
