Get a lithium battery

When I needed to replace my battery, I bought a Lithium one.
They are WAAAAAAY lighter than the conventional ones.
Just try picking both up with thumb and middle finger; that'll
convince you.

V6.0 just installed on a Garmin GPSmap 60Cx

My previous version was 2.1 and a bit I think.

This is my first bash with Base Camp.
V6.0 looks great to me and a basic route
in Sydney took me a reasonable way so I
probably won't be reloading...

When to strap it down

The first time I used mine, I strapped it down
and then jacked it up. Lucky I didn't bust
something. still haven't worked out the best

That's a great idea to use the permanent marker.
Any clues about how many links to have as a spare
bit of chain? btw 525 chain will fit on a 520 sprocket but
not vice versa I;m told.

Pillion pegs not

The DR250 has pillion pegs like my DR650
but not like my DRZ250; so I guess the Ukraine
racks would need rejigging to suit us,

btw LockyV7 doesn't make any stuff for the 250.

Premium stays better for longer

A bike mechanic down the road commented to me
that a bike that hadn't been used in a while would
be in better nick to start than one that had ULP
in it.

Wauchope Suzuki recommended a 45 rear when I had a change
recently and it's still good on the h/f way and much better on
forest roads. I'll stay with that next time too.
