Touratech mount

There is a mount for the GS but there's quite a bit of disassembly of the cockpit area to install it.
Another option is to mount the GXM30 on top of a RAM mount. I have a spare GXM30 that is set up...

The silver tube is a tool carrier made by GT-Moto. It can be mounted to GS's and GSA's with or without panniers. You just buy the mounting bracket for your particular setup.

I've had the terminals twist off internally before but those were auto batteries with the big lugs.
For a M/C battery, I think it's a matter of poor or faulty internal construction of the battery....
